About the Artist
Aida Brankovictc is a Brisbane-based contemporary artist who uses traditional art elements and seamlessly blends them with modern and innovative techniques techniques to create unique and captivating pieces mostly inspired by nature.
She exhibited her art work in a number of collective exhibitions. Her work is available at Artwest Community Gallery.
In 2023 and 2024 she was the finalist of the Pettit piece competition.
In 2022 and 2023 she was invited to participate at Milan Jewellery Week - International Exhibition.
Artist's Statement About the Art
My art work reflects my reflections and perception of nature. I enjoy experimenting and working with mixed media. My art expression manifests in painting and creating art objects.
I paint mostly with oil or acrylic colours and work various media including ceramic, polymer clay, shells, and wood.
For wearable art, I mostly use ceramics, porcelain and polymer clay as materials. When working on painted jewellery pieces, I treat each piece as a miniature canvas. All pieces I make are one of a kind and they are product of 'now'.
